3 Times in Acts....Turned to the Gentiles

Acts 13: 44-46
44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.
45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.
46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, low we turn to the Gentiles.
To the Jew first......How much plainer does it have to get.  The scriptures declare, "it was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you."
It was first given to the Jewish nation through Abraham, but was rejected by them. The Jewish nation was to be the light to the Gentile, to send the message and way of Salvation to the Gentiles. But they rejected.
When have you heard that preached from the pulpit?
Read it and see how the Jewish people rejected the call and plan of God.  "But seeing you put it from you." Rejected was their call."
Now turn to Acts 18:5-6
5 And when Silas and Timotheus were come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus was Christ.
6 And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean; from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.
Again rejection of God's intention, so Paul is declaring a turning from the message Jesus preached of the Kingdom of God, to the message to the Gentiles.
Now turn to Acts 28: 26-28
26 Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive:
27 For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
28 Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.
Again rejection and unbelief and the plan of God is turned from the Jewish people to the Gentiles. "...and they will hear it."
Line upon line and precept upon precept. To the Jew first......More to come.
