Ripe with fullness of sin

Rev 14:12-20

12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

The true body knows of this harvest.,
They wait for it.-they long and desire it. They are not of the deceived.
They know it is God who is allowing them to ripen, they wait to become sweet and ripe
He is allowing the ripening…..not before……

James 5:7 kjv
7. Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

We see here the plan of God in effect as He waits for us to become ripe. A ripening is happening in all. It is a law of God.
And ripe we will become as He works in us to bring us to the maturity of ripened fruit.
We become full……and then the harvest.
Here is the warning: Some to good, and some to evil.

Matthew 13: 24-30
Verse 24   Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
Verse 25.  But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
Verse 26. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
Verse 27. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
Verse 28. He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
Verse 29. But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
Verse 30. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Look to Rev. 14 verse 13

Verse 13. And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them

No dread in this group that face the harvest.
There is rest from their labors. Their labor was long and hard. But it created works pleasing to the Father.
      Their works do follow them.
We are told by the “professing preachers” of this day there are no labors and no works
In this life, but not according to the scriptures.
I will trust God and let God be true, and every man a liar.
There is a rest and there are labors.
Rest only comes from those tired from work.

These true believers are finally at a place of rest.
Life is hard for the true church. They follow the commandments of their God.
They work without ceasing to be pleasing to the Father.
They are never too tired to do the works of the Father.
As much as evil seeks to hinder and destroy the true and faithful,
No amount of ungodliness will interfere with the life of these faithful ones.

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Note the two things that show them as the true….. as the wheat and not the tares.
They keep the commandments
They keep the faith of Jesus
Here at this appointed time, all the faith and patience of Christ’s faithful servants will  be a reality.

This time will prove these to be the faithful and true……
Not the counterfeit, the tares…….
They have obeyed the commandments of God and kept the faith of Jesus,
These are never separated in the true called……in death, there was found, faith and practice
Death could not even stain the righteous soul of them.

From all troubles, sorrows. Sufferings, from all calamities, infirmities, and miseries of their preceding life
No sin shall effect them anymore. They reap the comfort of all the good works

Verse 14. And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.

Human means may be used to restrain the mystery of lawlessness.
Governments, laws, society,  keep it in check for a time.
But a time will come that only God can deal with the sin by Harvest. The ripeness will demand final seperation.
The true separator steps onto the beginning of Harvest.

A sickle is used at the time of Harvest.
Harvest is sure as the Sharp sickle is in His hand, and it is set in a time and season of God.
The sickle in his hand is moments away from the separation that is going to occur…..
No mistakes, no missing a deserving one……
A time of ripeness is at hand. That time that many have considered as myth or untruths by the masses will now be the reality. “The new norm”
While earth remains, no man will mock God. The laws of the Harvests are sure and
 Settled.
There are two harvests here. One of the righteous, and one of the evil.
The true harvest now comes to ripeness and the putting in of the sickle.
All will be of the two harvests.

Even the antichrist will seek to change time, to interfere with the harvest, but will not succeed. He has no power to stop the harvests. Mans unbelief will not stop the harvest.
As the righteous are spoken of, and are full and ripe for the harvest, the other side, or the unrighteous are also full and ripe…..the only holding back is awaiting the fullness and ripening of the unrighteous.
Sin began just as a one time slip up, but it soon multiplied until the fullness occurred.

The day of the Lord has not yet begun, since the world has not yet experienced the “rebellion” and the “man of lawlessness,” both of which must precede the day of the Lord.
Although the lawless one is yet to come, “the mystery of lawlessness is already at work
Paul admits readily that the same forces of deception and lawlessness are already prevalent in society

We see it in 2020. The Church as a whole has accepted all manner of sin and filth.
You can not tell the world from the church nor the church from the world. There is only a god of love preached, but the God of the Harvest will deal with these professors.
Look to:
2 Thessalonians 2:3-12
3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Yes now, the Holy Spirit of God holds back.
Even with the he holding back, look at how sin is peaking to heights unimaginable
     Of any time of History.

Verse 15.  And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe
All of heaven is involved. All now know the time. All know the requirements of the separation.
These have been assigned and set aside for the ages, waiting for the time that the separation is to be.
These beings wait for their appointed times.
There is no unbelief there. They patiently await the work they have been assigned by God.
They have waited patiently, knowing that the time would be at hand of the harvest.

Verse 16.  And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.
Verse 17. And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.
Verse 18.  And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.
This vine is not the church, not the righteous. These anointed scriptures  says the “vine of the earth”.
Evil cannot slumber forever. Sin has a time of awakening. Sin has a progression that is unstoppable. “Let both grow together”.

Hypocrisy will tire of its meek, innocent demeanor.  It has become full and ripe for
Harvests.
Once the fruit is ripened,  The harvest of sin will have to be reaped.
Let not any man put his confidence in the blinding of one’s eyes,  or the  slowness of the processes of evil….the unseeing is working.
Men think they can control the danger of sin in their lives….but in the end, it rules them
Its full power is not yet revealed. But it will be revealed in that day,.
There are those who treat all sin with unbecoming levity, because they do not yet see its terrible fruits.

They are playing with a biting adder, that may awake at any moment and inflict a fatal wound.
No one knows what hidden possibilities of destruction hide and await ripening, in the “harmless” flirting of undeveloped sin.
Be assured on that day of reaping, the sin in their lives will start and it  will end up ripe and full on the day of Harvest.

Verse 19.  And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.
Verse 20. And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.
There will be room for all that are reaped in that day. There will be no lack of judgement. The wine press has plenty of room for all judgement.

Light and Lights in Genisis 1

Genesis Chapter 1
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness
was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God
moved upon the face of the waters.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God
divided the light from the darkness.
And God called the light Day, and the darkness
he called Night. And the evening and the morning
 were the first day.

In the beginning, in verse 3, God created light.
It was on the fourth day that God created the Sun.....or “the larger light to rule the day”.

There was something that God knew, that caused Him to seperate the earth from void and darkness that was spoken of in that beginning created and ruled by God. It was not the plan and purpose of God for this lack of light.
The Spirit of God moved or hovered over the earth without form and void, and the darkness.
His Spirit moving,  was beginning the process of God’s will on earth, and it is clear, that void and darkness is not what God intended for the earth as a rule of fact.(Neither for the God follower )

How can it be that God created light on Day 1, but the sun, moon, and stars on day 4?
Where did that light come from if there was no Sun?
Another question would be why?

Look in verses 3 and 4, the original word for light, has a specific meaning. This word does NOT mean an object that emits light.....like the sun or the moon or the stars, or a lamp.
It is a light different from the light of the sun or moon or the light emitting objects our eyes can detect and see.

It is very possible, that the light spoken of in day 1 illuminates things the Spiritual sees and discerns....and is a signal of Good verses evil and goodness of God for man and the world.

In Scriptures, Light is used to symbolize God, faith or holiness.
     John 1:5.                    Isaiah 60:1.           1 John 1:5
     John 8:12.                  Psalms 27:1
     John 12:35-37.           Acts 13:47
     Luke 11:34-35.           Matthew 5:14
     1Peter 2:9.                 Daniel 2:22
     Rev 21:23.                 Luke 12:3
     Ecclesiastes 2:13.     Ephesians 5:8

The light and darkness from this point do not mix......God’s order is set and settled. God’s purpose is done. A very important truth that we should not ignore nor forget. Keep it in light as we study Scriptures.

So the first light mentioned in Genisis, I believe carries a meaning of illumination to seperate light from dark, or spiritual  enlightenment is set by God and for that purpose. It is very well possible of a twofold purpose.
In order to eliminate void and darkness of the earth, a “light” was needed which can only be brought about by the Spirit of God, and that Spirit did move upon the face of the waters in Genisis.

In proper place, the Bible says God is “light” (1 John 1:5)
This word  or concept of light is closely associated with life and joy and good.  It also attaches a work of the Spirit of God.

In fact when we read about the 1st day notice, that it says God created the light, AND SAW THAT IT WAS GOOD

Then this light was divided away from the darkness. Only the light is called “good”, the darkness is not.

This light is not the sun nor the moon, but a light designed by God to perform the seperation of void and darkness.

A note also, We see the first mention of SEPERATION of God and by God.
It is no reasoning in our human minds,  It is the purpose and will of God and none other.  Serious Bible students will see and understand this move of God, and not seek to label these things as “conflicts”. Sadly many do see this as conflict.

Genisis 1:14-16 Now lets move down to verse 14 when it starts to talk about there being lights in the sky to divide day and night, and in verse 16 when God says he created the larger light (the sun) to rule the day and the smaller light (the moon) to rule the night.

God has purpose for these lights. He says they are for signs, seasons, days, and years.  This light also gives light the eyes can see on the earth .

So the Scriptures declare light in two places in the Genisis account of creation, but these were two different lights.

My only conclusion is that darkness was an unsatisfactory state to God. Otherwise God wouldn’t have created light. There would have been no need. This seperation is not accidentally configured that only a sun or moon can seperate it.

At the least darkness was apparently not capable of supporting life; and as we’ll find as we get into the later parts of Exodus and then Leviticus, things that go against, or inhibit, or terminate life are considered as against God.

So  when God created “lights”, He created illumination and enlightenment, a basic requirement for life.
Note the difference in light of verse 3 and the lights in verse 14.

When God created “the lights”, He created objects that emit light waves. Light waves of a certain type that allow humans and animals to use their light sensors. (their eyes) and for plants to engage in their method of sustaining life, photosynthesis.

In the Book of Revelation we’re told that when God destroys the old earth, and then creates a new one, there will no longer be light emitting objects like a sun or moon) but instead God will be our light, our illumination

It is also good to note that in Zechariah 14:6-7, a light similar is put into place when the sun, the stars, and moon fall from the heavens and there is neither dark nor light.
It’s this same type of “godly light” that is being spoken of here in verses Genisis  3 and 4, but another kind is referred to in verses 14-16.

Note also that in a short time span, God is going to create beings on this earth, that need both types of light. In my thought, Adam had the “light” to make the decision of obedience or disobedience to God and therefore that available light or knowledge holds him accountable.

Conversely let’s look at the word “darkness”. This word is the opposite of illumination. It carries in it the sense of a lack of light. But also many places in the scriptures declare of use darkness to mean opposite of good and denotes evil

The word darkness  has a  meaning of  something that leads to death and destruction. This is not a word that is the opposite of day. It is not a word that describes the natural, and good, phenomenon of nighttime.

It carries evil spiritual overtones with it.  So one word of darkness speaks  of Night,  which is simply the opposite of day. It is neutral; it carries no negative.
But also darkness can carry a negative value, to add also a dual meaning of that word darkness evil.

John 3:19-20              Romans 13:12
Matthew 6:23.            1 John 1:5-6
Luke 11:35.                1 John 2:9-11
Isaiah 29:15.               Psalms 82:5
Ephesians 5:11.          Ephesians 6:12
Proverbs 2:13.            Romans 1:21
2 Corinthians 6:14.     Ephesians 4:18
John 12:35.
(Just a few verses to substantiate the point)

So let us be clear: in verses 3 and 4 what God created was illumination and enlightenment of which HE was the source; but it was also divided and separated away from what was the opposite of those things: darkness, blindness and falsehood.

What exactly was this illumination and enlightenment?

It could well have been the essence of God that we call the Shekinah, or Shekinah glory; this mysterious illumination, or glory, of God (sometimes visible, sometimes not) that we read of in several places in the Bible.

Exodus 13:21.          1 Kings 8:10-11
Exodus 40:34.          Revelation 21:23
Luke 2:9.                   Habakkuk 3:4
Isaiah 4:5.                 Revelation 21:11
(Just a few in the Scriptures)

The illumination that is suitable for us to see by, and apparently NOT necessary when the new earth is formed, will come from God Himself.

While I cannot be sure I see no reason not to suggest that the light of Genesis that was in the 1st day of Creation is the same light that is in the 1st day of the NEW creation as revealed in Revelation 21 and 22 (you can go read it for yourself).

And it is also interesting that the spiritual counterpart of light which is darkness, will be absent in the NEW creation.

In its purest spiritual sense the, light is goodness and darkness is wickedness.
We’re told that in the new creation there will be ONLY good and wickedness will no longer exist.

So  in the new creation we find the complete absence of darkness; instead there is only light. But as certain as I am that what I have told you is correct, I readily admit that there is some amount of speculation involved with it.

The Canaanite Woman in God’s order

Matthew 15:13 No self Planting
Just a scripture that is on my mind for today.
“But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.”
___________________________________________________
___________________________________________________
Main note here with this study, God has an order.  It is the main working in any and all circumstance to include “Our daily bread” and the true believers  agree wholly in His will being first and foremost above all our desires.
His will is the important issue.

                                                            Matthew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Now to the study.

The Canaanite Woman

John 8:29
And He that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone: For I do always those things that please Him.
________________________________________________________________
Matthew 15:21
21 Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.
Is Jesus going to this place by His choosing or by accident or by purpose?
     He is leaving Jewish territory.
What He came to do, there should be no question to His reason, His time, His season, and His purpose. He is there to do the will of His Father.
If nothing else is learned of Jesus’ way in this scripture, He is a God of order.
He has a plan and purpose…..ultimately, the Kingdom come,
    Redemption!
His order is from His Father….not just giving to us..He gives in His order.
This method Jesus uses in this ministering to this Canaanite , is hard for the Americanized  Professing Church to accept as their teachings are to their various doctrines created by their denominational beliefs.
It is not as the most of the  TV preachers display of Jesus and His methods here. His method just does not fit most doctrines, and rightly so.
While He was in Gennesaret the religious order disputed with him about and operating ceremonial uncleanness. Their perception of Jesus kept them from seeing the Son of God, as manner of many still do today. Doctrine matters.
A note here should be seen, this marks  how the Jewish authorities  play their role in the rejection      of the Messiah by the religious and the Jewish people as a whole,  and a turning to the Gentiles which signals a Gentile focus and not just accidental beneficiaries. Learn there is an order saints….all in order.
Each person has their own expectation of Messiah. It must be a right expectation. It must be truth.
The Canaanite people knew who God was.

Rahab……..Joshua 2
9 And she said unto the men, I know that the Lord hath given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you.
10 For we have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when ye came out of Egypt; and what ye did unto the two kings of the Amorites, that were on the other side Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly destroyed.
11 And as soon as we had heard these things, our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any man, because of you: for the Lord your God, he is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath.
12 Now therefore, I pray you, swear unto me by the Lord, since I have shewed you kindness, that ye will also shew kindness unto my father's house, and give me a true token:

This heathern people knew and ask the God of Israel,  for the benefits given to Israel. This was not news to this woman.  Our enemies know much of our God….and His mercy was available to Rahab….the Canaanite woman.
Rahab submitted to God’s order just as this Canaanite  woman. These understand the order of God or plan and purpose comes first.
Above all dear saints of God, learn God’s way and order.

22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan (a Cannanite woman not in her land) came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.

Mercy is what she ask.
Not personal things is Her  desire……not money, fame, more things.
Her daughter is her desire.

She expresses who He is.
O Lord……She addressees Him respecting who He was….. three times she addresses him Lord….. This shows the Lord, she is ubmissive…..
I submit to you Lord, I submit to  your plan, I submit to your purpose.
She understood what Jesus was there to do.

She also addresses Him as the Son of David……the term of Messianic .. Promises of David to Abraham.
She saw what most of her day could not see.
She understands He is Messiah. What the Holy Prophets prophesies of Him. She understands His mission and His diety.
But she has a daughter with a need, and Jesus has the power and desire to set her daughter free of this condition even if she does not fit in His purpose, but yet mercy fits her in.

This daughter is possessed with an evil demon….
Look how the demons have created havoc  in the lives of people in the
     Gospels…..
We read of examples of demons throwing people into the fires, causing those posessed to run naked in the cemeteries, and all manner of destruction to the soul of a person.
She was grievously vexed, possessed…..unredeemable? The only answer was in one that was sent to redeem.
She knew this God…She knew her answer was in this Messiah.

23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
He ignores her…..
How you react…to the seemingly silence of God matters. Yes sometimes God is silent.
How do we react when we pray and hear nothing?
Her attitude was better than His disciples
His disciples…
Jesus is teaching them and their reaction is not even that of this Canaanite woman.
They had seen Him heal all manner before, but they have no concern of this woman,….  Or her daughter.
I wonder if she follows each one begging them to speak to the master, who spoke not a word to her? They had no heart to do anything for her.
Send her away……was their response. We do not want to fool with this need. Somethings it is necessary for God to get us to a place, He can speak to us......and in His order, He does speak.

24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel
To whom did Our Lord Jesus say He was sent?
ONLY to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Jesus, in theory, was Israel’s Savior because the Lord’s purpose in sending Christ was to solve the deadly problem of sin among His chosen and set apart a people, Israel.
On our timeline we use almost daily, we show how for 2000 years, God dealt with all men, but found one man, Abraham to raise out of Him a people, that would be used to bring redemption to the world.
The very nation He was sent to. The lost sheep of the house of Israel.

In fact in Matthew 10  Jesus explicitly instructed the 12 Disciples to go ONLY to the house of Israel with the Gospel and to avoid gentiles.

Much later, of course, we find the risen  Jesus confront Paul on the road to Damascus and instruct him that the time has come to take the Gospel to the gentile world

Romans 15:8-12
8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:
9 And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.
10 And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.
11 And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.
12 And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.

This Canaanite woman is not Jewish…..but that is not an issue with Messiah…..He  has an order…..His purpose will be fulfilled while yet meeting the need of every cry of any child seeking Him. He never turns away a seeking heart.

Are we getting it? God has an order. Until we learn that, we have conflicts in scriptures, in our beliefs, but there is the right order, and this woman has it.

Did she have a revelation? She at least had a knowing of who this Messiah is and what He has come to do……an unshakable knowing.

25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.

She understands His order. His purpose….His disciples forgot them.
Do not expect those around you to understand God’s order….
Paul warned us of the church of the end times. At best they are lukewarm as a whole…..Only the true believers will understand……
This Canaanite woman sees past the supposed non answer from Messiah.
She has in her heart, that this does not exclude her, as she in excitement, a deep knowing He will show to all who could see it, the nation of Israel, was the source of gentile redemption, in it’s perfect order. He would meet her need.
A tone of hope is in her….see the next verses.

26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.

It is not God’s will for me to leave Israel and go to the Gentiles was His teaching to those listening. However, more is to come.
He did not call her a dog….as many teach today….My order is being worked. He lets those who can hear it, my order is to the Jew, and then to the gentile…..
God’s order comes first…….but the gentile time is coming and they too will be handled……
First the children get fed, and then you,  but you will get fed. I will feed those at the table and those around the table. My order is full and complete…

God got her attention by what he says and see how she handles this response  matters.

27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
I got the truth of this Lord……I will get fed in my order…..the children eat first but then the dogs eat…..not only eat but satisfied.
The blessing of Israel also feeds the gentiles…….God has an order, she knew it…..do we?
This Canaanite woman shows in action,  I know you have a way for me to see my daughter made whole…

28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

She was faithful and got what she wanted.   God’s leftovers are not inferior…they are kingdom fulfillment and a total supply of need. The crumbs have full potential. They filled the dogs.
Redemption is final and full in her life..Read the scriptures…see the truth…..as she did…..

The Canaanites knew in the day of Rahab the power of the God of Israel…..and that same God was working here. It is amazing how these under the table could have that much faith…..

Jesus did not say anything to this daughter, did not lay hands on her…..He did not address anything to the demon possessed daughter……nor the demon…….He simply performed the Father’s will. Do we get it?
There is an order, and in that order, is the answer we seek when we seek God’s will.

Nicodemus John 3

John 3- Nicodemus

Verse 1
There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
Nicodemus
     Man of the Pharisees
     Member of the Sanhedrin
     Ruler of the Jews
A leader From the Jewish Counsel

In verse 10, Jesus calls him a “Master in Israel”

There is something different about Nicodemus from the other members of the Sanhedrin: He displays a Hunger of the and for the Spirit.
Note here, hunger is good but you must go farther, as we will see with the lesson.

He is different as in Mark 3:22 some of his fellow Pharisees claimed Jesus cast out demons by devils.
Some of the same did not even recognize John the Baptist as they refused to be baptized of Him. (Luke 7:30)

Keepers of the “Law” did not keep the Law. There was a need for Jesus and His redemption, and God is fixing to place this all into the way of man that will receive the truth.

Nicodemus recognizes the divine origin of Jesus’s miracles. Unlike his fellow Pharisees

Verse 2
The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

Came to Jesus by night.
I have been around a few years and have heard many explanations  of why Nicodemus came to Jesus at night. I do not think it would add anything to our truth of Scripture to add something to this as this scripture deals with Redemption and The Kingdom to come, so no additions here. Nicodemus came to Jesus at night.

We know……
Nicodemus shows much respect to Jesus here.  It is deeper than personality uplifting as is done today.
While Nicodemus in the use of we, means himself with others, If it is his Pharisee associates, has a special respect.

Jesus is recognized as a teacher
Come from God-a guide of Spiritual

A miracle worker- No man can do what you do except He is empowered by God the Father.
There is a recognition of a man sent from God. Enough to cause Nicodemus to seek after Him.

Nicodemus recognizes a relationship to God the Father.
It was recognized enough to cause Nicodemus to seek out the Messiah.
     He is come from God

Here is a prime example of being “Drawn” to God
John 6:44 KJV
“No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.”
No cliches, no coming of Himself as a popular thing to do.

3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Jesus begins to work with Nicodemus. His coming to Jesus is what Jesus does. Jesus does not send anyone away with a true heart to seek Him.

Now Jesus begins to try to open the understanding of Nicodemus
He tells Nicodemus of the fact, Born again or Born from above. A new term to Nicodemus

The Lord now begins to talk of these Spiritual things to a fleshly person.

Now Nicodemus is being taken past the natural or fleshly things, although it takes a conversation with Jesus to get Nicodemus to understand if possible to Nicodemus
As I said earlier, this is about redemption.

Look at what Jesus is saying to this “ruler of Israel”
Jesus is telling this religious man that Nicodemus is dead spiritually.
Yes this leader of the law-He is dead and far from God

How many in the church are exactly the same.
Going along in their religious duties, but not close enough for Jesus to show them their Spiritual lack
     They see no lack.

Jesus told him, “you can not see”
You are spiritually blind. You can not see what I am all about, The Kingdom to come. Redemption

A Time in Nicodemus you should be teaching the truth instead of your religion.

Hebrews 5: 11-14 kjv
11 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.
12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

The religious system around Nicodemus, was unable to minister to man and let him know of His relationship to God whether good or bad.
Could not even cause Nicodemus to question his Relationship with God

Jesus is telling him that there has to be a change in Nicodemus in order to be righteous with God and in Good standing with the Father.
What you have got right now will not work…..will not get you into the Kingdom.

Verse 4
Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

Again here, Nicodemus is totally not understanding. He still sees this as a physical thing. His mind is locked into the natural or fleshly man.
He is relating what Jesus is saying to physical……..not allowing the Spirit to minister to him. He only understands natural.

I have to ask us to consider……..how long did the Spirit deal with Nicodemus, and does the Spirit have a limit of how long He will deal with men who do not see.

Verse 5
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

It appears here, that Nicodemus does not have a problem with the term “born of Water”. The problem is Being “born again of the Spirit.” Nicodemus questions not the water.

Let us understand how men argue and fuss and split hairs over doctrines…….you can call it born of Water, or born of the Spirit.
The bottom line Jesus is teaching is we must come to the place we are pleasing to and acceptable to God. Nothing more and nothing less.

Nicodemus religious order did not get him there, so ask ourselves does our religious order get us there?

A note on water.
Water in scriptures when used as with Jesus teaching here, speaks of cleansing, washing, immersing.
Lev chapters 8-10 describes the command that the Priest had to be washed to be ready and fit for their priestly duties, redemption if you will

If you take time to go to John 4 and study the teaching of Jesus concerning the “Woman at Jacob’s well”.

“Everyone who drinks of this well water will thirst again, But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst again; the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.”

Jesus gives us spiritual water that issues eternal life.
So whatever water means here to you, it is exactly the same water in John 3 and John 4
It is life giving water. Try to argue that one.

Just a note, there had to be a consecration of the priests, thus the washing
They had to regularly wash, thus the container of water in the temple as He has to wash upon entering every time.

Our Lord comes to John the baptized to be “washed” in order to fulfill His office of priest. Again there was no sin to wash away.

If you are confused of this requirement, as the Lord to show you the truths.
Ex 28:1 declares God appoints priest.
The priest were to be of Aaron. But God chose who at times to fill His desires.
Jesus was of the tribe of Judah, but was appointed priest.
Why did He have to go to John to be baptized?
It certainly was not for a cleansing from sin.

John the Baptizer was the forerunner ordained by God
It was fulfilling of the prophesies.

It becomes way too involved to discuss water and baptizing,  in a Nicodemus study. Ask of God to show you these truths.

Jesus tells us two things here about the kingdom
The Kingdom is spiritually discerned, and you can be blind to it unless you are born from above.
The Kingdom of God is spiritually entered. You can not enter the Kingdom unless you are changed
     Spiritually

Verse 6
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Herein Lies the problem. Flesh

Dress it up, or do what you will to flesh. Flesh can only bring about flesh. Nothing of the Spirit.
Flesh tries to reform man, make him religious, but it is an  unredeemed religion.

Jesus teaches here, there are “tares”, flesh born professors, that in the church, flesh has born ones, flesh.
They are as real as the “born again” ones.

As I said before and again. Redemption is what the Lord is saying to Nicodemus

The water has to do with the Spirit in my seeing.  It is a filling of the Holy Spirit of God…….It is the Spirit of God that can change a man into a person of God. Are we Spirit born?

Jesus is telling Nicodemus point blank, The Spirit of God is not within you, and you must be of the Spirit of God. The Spirit has to be in you.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Not the cliches “accept Jesus into your life”, nor the “Sinners Prayer”
It is thought by flesh,  That that prayer is an entry door to the kingdom, but they will find their hearts are still unprepared, darkened hearts unconverted by the “Water” and the “Blood”
No regeneration at all.

People laugh at the term, as Nicodemus they understand it not…..but Jesus said, “You must be born again.”

Verse 8
The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

You may not understand “born of the Spirit”
This is not a work you do, but a work the Holy Spirit of God does in us. That is the only way.
You do not control the Spirit in any way, the Spirit controls you.
You do choose to allow Him to work in you, but you do not control the work He does in you.

Verse9
Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?

Religion still keeps Nicodemus away. He still has no understanding.
No greater teacher, not greater one to tell Nicodemus of the Spiritual.
My question at this time, does he ever get it? I know that will bring argument…..but we are not told of his Salvation.

Verse10
Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

The greatest teacher and preacher of all time, is astounded at Nicodemus thinking.

What you have been taught is very dangerous to our walk with God.
“A master of Israel” but did not get it.

Verse11
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

Look at how Jesus leaves us with this teaching.  “Ye receive not”.
Did Nicodemus believe?
How many in the church system to day are at that same place?
